The exhibition Dum Spiro Spero, by CioTTolina Xue, is open at DAPHNE.ARTS. Dum Spiro Spero means “While I breathe, I hope”, in Latin, and this quote is traditionally attributed to Marcus Tulius Cicero, as a paraphrase of his ideas, present on the Epistulae ad Atticum (Latin for Letters to Atticus).
CioTTolina is a self-taught 3D sculptor, and her works reflect her view about the world, focusing on themes like freedom, human rights, and love.
Dum Spiro Spero takes place in the minimal architectural landscape of DAPHNE.ARTS Main Gallery, where the visitors need to walk through the shapes to discover the works of the artist, which talk about the ephemeral and the eternal, the ordinary and the extraordinary moments of humans, exhaling the same substance: hope.
